Our Senior range of services is designed for everyone aged 50 and over, whether you’re a complete beginner or have years of fitness experience. These programs focus on enhancing functional strength, mobility, balance, and coordination, which are essential for maintaining independence, overall well-being, and a vibrant, active lifestyle as you age.
If your GP has mentioned you’re at risk of conditions like osteoarthritis, osteopenia, or osteoporosis, it’s time to take action. Strength training offers incredible benefits:
💪 Stronger Bones: Weight-bearing exercises stimulate bone growth, helping to maintain or even increase bone density, which is crucial for preventing osteoporosis and osteopenia.
🦵 Joint Protection: Building muscle around your joints provides extra support, reducing strain and helping to alleviate or prevent symptoms of osteoarthritis.
🩹 Injury Prevention: Strength training improves balance, coordination, and overall resilience, significantly lowering the risk of falls and fractures.

Senior Strength Class

11 am, 12 pm and 2 pm Thursdays

Meet your coach: Christina is passionate about helping others improve their quality of life through fitness. With extensive qualifications and experience, she ensures every participant feels supported and challenged. As well as personal training qualifications, Christina is trained to work with those experiencing long-term health conditions such as cancer, strokes and diabetes. She is an exercise referral specialist and is trained in menopausal fitness. Christina’s expertise guarantees a safe, effective, enjoyable workout tailored to your needs. Cancellation Policy: Senior Strength classes are pay-as-you-go. Cancel at least 24h in advance for a refund (email info@innerathlete.co.uk – refunds aren’t automatic). Cancellations within 24h are non-refundable. You may reschedule within 24h of class start for free, but please do so as early as possible to free up spaces for others.
